HP 15-f003dx laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The video on u-tube about how to change HD to SSD  for my HP 15-f003dx laptop is about a slightly different HP 15 model.  It say there is 1 screw in the middle of the back cover to unscrew in order to remove the DVD player  On mine, there are 2 screws in the middle of the back cover. I unscrewed both.  In the video,  the DVD player then just pulls right out.  However on mine the DVD player only pulls out partially, since it's attached on the rear with a copper colored strip to the inside of the computer.  Can anyone help me with this?  Does my HP 15 allow for changing to an SSD at all?  My serial # is 5CD4438RH1.  Thanks

Hi, Gary:

The only suggestion I can offer, if you have not done so already, would be to look at the procedure in the service manual for your notebook's model series at the link below...
