I bought this for mine. Kingston Technology 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L (PC3-12800) 1.35V Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM Intel Laptop Memory KVR1... 4 days ago on Amazon. Works just fine. Hope you find this helpful.

I used the following 8Gb chip and it's been running perfectly since day one. A perfect match to the 4Gb chip that HP used.
Mushkin Essentials #992038, 8GB, PC3L / 12800 SODIMM 11-11-11-28 1.35V .
The 11-11-11-28 is frequency/timing specs that are needed to work properly.

Always ensure matching RAM specs on hardware upgrades prior to purchasing.
Ensure that your BIOS is at the newest version prior to any upgrade of hardware. Also, there is no a single PC vendor that voids a warranty for replaceing RAM that is accessible via the service panel at the bottom of the laptop. There is an issue if the only way to access the RAM is by removing the keyboard top panel. Why any manufacturer would design a laptop this way is rediculous. The trick is the wireless card and most often the video ribbon and the need to remove/lift the motherboard to access the RAM.
This laptop is a simple replacement.

Yep,I bought a Kingston 8 gig stick that matched the specs and installed it in place of the 4G stick, which I moved to the opposite receptacle across from that one. My system reads 10.9 gigs of RAM and it's been fine and fast for at least a year.Works great!
