HP 15S-FQ2005NH (303K0EA) Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dears,

1.

I could not find a Maintanance and Service Guide for the "HP 15S-FQ2005NH (303K0EA)" laptop.

Only for 15s-fq2000 and 15s-fq2001 could be found but those are from 2019,

and this laptop is equiped with a Core i5-1135G7.

Is it possible that this manual is missing?

2.

Can I upgrade it with 3200MHz RAM?

3.

Can I use a 4k monitor with it?

Whati is the highest monitor resolution and frequency?

Thanks a lot!

Its specs

A1. Sometimes HP could not keep manual up-to-date, we have to use older Guides and work this out. One more thing: most of the times, HP does not supply Guide for each model/product, we have to use manuals for the series.

A2. You can install 3200MHz RAM but machine will run at 2666MHz

A3. It specs says it only has HDMI 1.4b port (you can't use USB-C to connect to an external monitor). From the following information

                 https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi1_4b

You can use 4K monitor but won't get good refresh rate.

Thank you for the fast answer 😉

If I use that Guide which is offered for the fq2000/fq2001 series,

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06914467.pdf

it says:

1.

"High-deƭnition multimedia interface (HDMI) v.1.4b supporting up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz"

How could I make sure that it will handle a 4k monitor?

2.

"Intel Core and Pentium Gold 5405U and 4417U processors:
DDR4-2400 dual channel support (DDR4-3200 bridge to 2666, DDR4-2666 downgrade to DDR4-2400)"

Does it mean that the original 2666 RAM runs at 2400? And if I upgrade it to DDR4-3200, it will run at 2666, right?

Thank you.

A1. Did you read the link ? You can get FHD (1920 x 1080) at 60Hz but you can only get 4K at 30Hz max. That what I said lower refresh rate.

A2. Install 2666MHz or 3200MHz RAM system will automatically downgrade to 2400MHz and mentioned for Pentium Gold processors.

Regards.
