My HP 15T DY200 has a built in SD media card reader.... After copying files to the SD media Card , eject card , and when I read SD card again all data gone from any SD card above 64GB, ... I updated the SD card reader driver on HP Support ... Looks like the SD card that comes with laptop is no good.
SD card works properly on other devices so its not the SD card the problem.
Same thing with USB conected SD card readers , like laptop have a problem reading SD cards. The SD card reader works fine in other Laptops, but once conected to mine fails.
The problem both fails the internal and external SD card ,,,, I copy and past files, everything works perfectly ,,, but eject card and put it back data gone.
Only works fine with SD cards 32GB or 64GB ... with 128GB 512GB 1024GB and 2048GB SD cards it fails.
Any solution ?
Did the driver update, uninstalled and installed new driver
I suspect that HP 15T Dy200 SD card reader is limited to only cards of 64GB or below, like phones have limits to SD card reader. Is this right?

I have never heard of an SD Media card being included with a laptop.

No. That is incorrect.
I have used 128GB Samsung Extreme microSD cards in an adapter with my x360 Spectre 13-ap0690nd ultrabook.

Ok, so where do you plug in your Micro SD card with an adaptor ? ... I plug it into my built in SD media card reader on my HP 15T Dy200 laptop ... So iI don't understand why you never heard of an SD Media card reader being included with a laptop ? when it is in fact a common built in in Laptops.
Looks like they have limits like the Phones ... some 64 GB orthers 128GB or 512GB
Does this happebs also with Laptops, where my HP 15T DY200 is limited to 64GB and yours to 128GB ???
If there is no real limit how can I increase the capacity of my SD Media card reader to read more than 64GB ???

"So iI don't understand why you never heard of an SD Media card reader being included with a laptop ?"
Read my response again. I said media card, not media card reader.
Most laptops accept a standard sized SD media card, not the more common micro SD media cards.
Most micro SD media card brands, such as Sandisk and Samsung, include an adapter.
What brand of media cards are you using?
I suggest sticking with mainstream brands, like Sandisk or Samsung.
I generally use the extreme or high endurance types because they last longer and have no given me compatibility issues.
My DJI Mavic Air 2 drone even requires that I use extreme or high endurance micro SD media cards.
