Product: 15m-bp112dx

Anyone know if the 15m-bp112dx I7-8550 Laptop supports 32gb of ram (memory)?  The sad thing is that there is only 1 memory slot soldered on the motherboard, which currently is a 16gb ram chip.  I ran wmic memphysical command, and says m/b supports 32gb ram.  Not sure why this good of a computer only has 1 memory slot since there is room for another slot.

No, I don't believe that the notebook will support 32 GB of memory in one slot.

 

The report you ran is picking up the circuitry for the second memory slot on the motherboard which is not present.

 

You can see this in this picture of a motherboard on eBay for your notebook:
