Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?
HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After replacing the battery for my Hp 15s Du0xxx, I encountered a few problems as follows:
1. If I turn off the device and leave the charger plugged in for a while, I won't be able to turn it back on with the power button unless I plug it back in.
2. After I turn the computer back on, I'll get a message like this

error de CMOS.jpg
3. I tried to find a replacement CMOS battery but couldn't find it, not sure if HP 15s Du0xxx has its own cmos battery or not?

Is there any way to fix the above problems?

The HP document at the hyperlink below covers your issue.

It would help if you provided the Product number.

https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c00033108

When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key.

Type in msinfo32 and press enter.

The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.

An alternative method:

Take a look at the bottom of the notebook among the tiny letters and locate the ProdID.

The ProdID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

My product number is 6ZF53PA#UUF.

I have followed the instructions on the link you gave and some other ways on the internet that I found but it didn't work. Even the battery calibration failed.

Can you show me the specific cause of that error and how to fix it? And also, why can't I find the CMOS battery of this machine anywhere?

Thanks a lot!

Your notebook's support portal.

Newer notebooks do not have RTC (BIOS) batteries since they use the current from the main battery to provide power to the eeprom BIOS chip.

The error which says there is a checksum error means that the comparison with a known good checksum of the installed BIOS ROM file has failed. That is why the BIOS must be recovered.

The document I provided the link to has a link to a video which explains how to create a USB BIOS recovery flash drive.  Since you said that your tried the BIOS recovery with the Windows key + B keystroke as explained in the document, a BIOS recovery flashdrive is the next step.  If you are unable to recover the BIOS on your own I suggest taking your notebook to a shop where they can do it for you.

See step 3 on the document at the hyperlink below. Watch the video and then find yourself a USB flash drive of 8-32GB. Download the BIOS file on another PC and run the file to create a recovery flash drive for your notebook.  The BIOS file is at the Software & Drivers section in the support portal for your notebook.
