Hi,
I am aware that I can upgrade HP 15s-eq0024au RAM Upgrade to max total 32 GB. Few queries are:
1. Can I add another 16GB (A-Tech 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz SODIMM PC4-19200 (PC4-2400T) CL17 2Rx8 Non-ECC Laptop RAM Memory Module) along with the existing original 8GB RAM provided from HP? i.e. making it 24 GB?
2. Will there be any performance issue etc.
3. How to find the exact manufacturer of the existing 8 GB RAM without opening the laptop?
4. Can I install DDR4 3200 MHz ?
Thanks,
Deepak

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06529674
It has 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now
- A1. You can add 16GB to your machine to have 24GB but what for ? You can use https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct16g4sfd824a/ct17485494
- A2. As mentioned above, having unbalance RAM (8GB + 16GB) won't give you much it is much better to have 16GB+16GB such as https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct17485449
- A3. You can use a tool call CPU-Z to see what is the existing RAM, from where.
- A4. Normally you can install 2666MHz or 3200MHz RAM but machine will only run at slower 2400MHz. You won't gain any thing unless 3200MHz RAM was cheaper.
Regards.

Thank you for the response, this is very helpful. Just a follow-up question.
1. There is still doubt on "8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)" vs showing 3200 using WMIC command or in CPU-Z application
2. The idea behind using the 8GB + 16 GB = 24 GB is the requirement and the cost. This way I don't lose exiting 8 GB and can just buy 16GB x 1 only. But as you have pointed out that this arrangement won't give you much . Did you mean even though I match the frequency of the mix the RAMs will not work in Dual channel? One youtuber analysis showing that it worked for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-136OI8ylM
Thanks,
