I would like to upgrade my SSD in laptop HP 15s-eq1411nc, but cannot find exact specs of used M.2. Would that slot accept only SATA SSD as current SSD is specified or a faster version can be used, e.g. NVMe? Any recommendation for target 500G or 1T SSD capacity?
Thank you in advance

Hi:
HP only has the service manual for the older model series available on your notebook's user guides link.
HP 15s-eq1000 Laptop PC (183N3AV) - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
According to chapter 1 of that manual the notebook can support both SATA and NVMe SSD's.
You may want to run the free Crucial memory/SSD scanner to see if it can provide additional information:
Click on the blue Upgrade Computer button on the upper right side of the webpage.
HP - Compaq HP 15s-eq1000 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
The Samsung 980 would be my first choice but the Crucial P3 would also be OK as well.
