I  want more storage in my notebook so I am looking to add another SSD if possible, or if not then to replace the current SSD with a larger one, has anyone added an extra SSD, do I have a second M.2 slot or can I add a standard SSD? Thanks

Hi,

It is not possible to add another SSD, there is only one slot. So, you will need to replace the 512GB PCIe M2 SSD with a larger capacity one. You can go for the "best" which would be the Samsung 970 Evo Plus or slower and much cheaper Crucial P1 or any other brand you prefer. There is no limit to capacity.

On page 31 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive.

You will then need to reinstall the OS on the SSD which you can do by performing a clean install

or using HP cloud recovery
