Hi,

My HP 15s-fq1012na suddenly stopped working.
After restart 3F0 appears. I was not able to reinstall W10…nothing. I thought the m.2 SSD gone, so I bought the exactly same one and replaced but same issue comes up.

I tried to install RST drivers but still nothing. Maybe I tried with the wrong one…

I install linux through USB external drive. It worked fine. I expect to see the ssd in the list of storages, but was not there. The led of storage is constantly blinking.

What can be the problem? Is the m.2 slot gone? Can I attach sata connector somehow? I saw some connectors on the motherboard…

MB serial: DA0P5DMB8C0 Rev:C

Thank you for your help!

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

2 things: 1. No option for a 2.5 inch disk. 2. The M.2 slot supports only SATA M.2 so if you tried to replace the original factory SATA M.2 with a new device of the same type and it is not recognized it is a motherboard issue. I would try returning the BIOS settings to factory default. But that is a bit of a long shot.

@charli3445 the system is saying "no disk connected" so that test will not run.

I do reset the Bios settings but nothing happened.   Is that possible to install new Bios? Maybe it can sort the problem…? No idea…

@Huffer just said my thoughts. There is no option to run the test as the system doesn’t see any drive…
