HP laptop (17-bs0xx) left hinge failure. It has come apart after very gentle and careful use -- only slight, slow, careful lid movement (not even full opening or closing). Now it has suddenly come apart and open/closing the laptop is not possible. Out of warranty. Laptops MUST BE designed for Lid-Screen hingle movement, so the ubiquity of the broken hinge problem is CLEARLY A DESIGN-MFG DEFECT, like a car door -hinge that breaks (never heard of one breaking). This is my 8th or 9th HP: Two other HP laptops have the overheating problem. I'm 66 yrs old living on small income. Is HP going to leave me stranded with another broken Laptop?
