I need to replace my failed hard drive on HP 17 Pavilion notebook, does anyone know if this is a good replacement:
1.0TB SATA hard disk drive - 5,400 RPM, 2.5-inch form factor, 9.5mm height (raw drive).
Thank you for any help.

Since there are many generations and hundreds of models/products called HP 17 Pavilion machines. What is yours ?
Normally you can replace 2.5" HDD with 2.5" HDD or faster SSD. 5400RPM is too slow. You may want to go to 7200RPM with bigger cache OR faster SSD (more expensive).
