Hi,

I have just received the above laptop, but unfortunately someone bought it for me, so I never had a choice to spec it out. I would like to increase both the RAM, and M2. NVMe SSD.

I know what components I need, but how can I get these upgrades done without invalidating my warranty, as a note I used to work for both IBM, and Acer Computers in the Netherlands, building servers, laptops, and desktop machines, so I am fairly skilled to do the upgrades myself?

Thanks in advance

PS If I have to get these installed by an Authorised HP party, we're can I find one, I live in Redditch, UK.

@Desmond_Maughan

Warranty is a grey/gray area, very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines, adding something or fixing something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts .

However you can add yourself. If something went wrong due to this upgrade, I think HP would not honor warranty.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.

I have to he honest, I wish this brand new HP Laptop was not bought for me. According to there find an Authorised HP service center near me, it's in the US, yes really.

I think the only option is to put it in the bin to be quiet honest, if I do find one, it will cost more than buying a new one, from a more user  upgradeable, and company who wants to help there customers.

My next laptop will never be a HP ever again.
