Looking to upgrade a HP 17-cp1035cl which has the AMD Ryzen 5 5625 CPU.
What kind of PCIe SSD does this take? M2.2280? Gen 4x4 or Gen 3x4?
What is the max memory? 2x32GB or 2x16GB? DDR4-3200 SODIMM?

Hi:
According to the AMD website your notebook supports PCIe Gen 3.0 NVMe SSD's as indicated under the Connectivity section.
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support...(probably 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory).
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
HP only has the service manual for the older model series 17-cp0xxx.
However, it should be of help to you for opening up the notebook to do the upgrades.
