HP 2000-2201TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP 2000-2201TU which has HP  1858 Motherbpard with Intel HM 75 chipset (as shown in CPU Z).

It has i3-2328M which as 35W TDP

I have updated RAM to 6 GBs from 2 GBs and replaced my SSD with 240GB ssd. Still my PC is heating alot and I am running on very low budget. I am student.  Please help me out to max out or improve my laptop's performance.

Can i replace CPU with I7-3612QM or I7-3632QM? as these two also has same TDP and Socket and also support HM 75.

will this work?

Can I install 45W TDP CPU on HP 1858 motherboard? will it work or crash?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03308228

The supported processors can be found in chapter 1 on page 1.

The best processor you can upgrade to would be the Intel® Core® i5-3210M 2.50-GHz processor
(SC turbo up to 3.1-GHz, 3.0-MB L3 cache, 35 W)

Here is a side by side comparison of the processor you have now and the i5-3210M...
