The problem I had was as follows...

 

No Mouse Movement.

Scroll Wheel Would Flash Blue

 

This is how a fixed it...

 

1. Downloaded the following software http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4294...

 

This installs HP mouse suite.

 

2. Go to the start menu and start HP mouse suite.

3. Click the configure option ( Picture of a Cog )

4. Click the Mouse Tab ( on the horizontal bar at the top of the window. reads Button Wheel Mouse About )

5. Click the 'Dongle Pairing' Button and follow the instructions

 

The instructions say to press and hold the top button of the mouse - for me this was the button behind the scroll wheel with a 'page' icon.

 

Other posters have been able to do the resync without the HP mouse suite software but I couldn't.
