Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there I just bought hp 225 g7 7de46es as first computer for a kid. Can I upgrade RAM up to 16GB, or 8GB is the limit? There is only one so dimm slot available in this model.

Hi:

 

Notebooks with the AMD A4-9125 processors have one memory slot  and the max the slot can support is 8 GB.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.

One more question: I bought 8GB 2400Mhz from hynix and I get 3.2 error so:

Is there some specific RAM requirement or mine was damaged (no protecting package).

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why the Hynix memory didn't work.

 

I recommend you get the Crucial memory because they guarantee compatibility.

 

You can see the 255 G7 model listed toward the bottom of the page.
