I have a HP 250 G3 notebook, Intel Celeron N2840 processor, this model is without fan. I want to replace it the thermal pad. How many mm-s thickness the thermal pad?

Either a 1 or 1.5mm thickness should be fine.

Personally I don't bother with thermal pads. I have always used thermal paste like Ceramique 2 by Arctic Silver.

Thanks for the helpful answer. It also had a thermal pad at the factory, so I thought I should use it. Or would the paste be good?

You're welcome.

The paste works even better.

Arcticsilver.com is a great resource for information on how much paste to use and how to apply it on specific processors..

There is a list of application tutorials on their website.
