Hello,

Is it possible to upgrade my laptop's keyboard to a backlit keyboard?

Is a backlit keyboard compatible with my laptop's motherboard?

The reason why I ask is that there are backlit keyboards for sale for the HP 250 G6. I know that in order to change keyboards the whole top cover of the laptop needs to be removed. But, isn't there a way to replace keyboards without changing covers if a backlit upgrade is possible? For instance, prying the metal backing from the cover?

My laptop specs are i5 7500u, 8GB ram, and 256GB SSD.

Thank you,

Sunny

The series ONLY offers Full-size textured, island style keyboard with numeric keypad. No other options.
