Hi,
I'm wondering if someone can help please.
I've been asked to sort out a problem with an HP 250 G6 laptop. The wireless works great in most of the building it is used in, but when it is moved to a part of the building that doesn't have the greatest wireless signal, it does not pick up the wireless signal and the icon on the task bar changes from the "tornado" to the "world" icon that indicates no wireless connection or available networks.
There is definitely a wireless signal to be picked up. It may not be great or the strongest but there is a signal. I can use it on my cell phone, and on other devices without a problem, just not on this laptop, although it has worked in the past.
I have tried running the Windows troubleshooter and uninstalling the wireless card (and drivers) via device manager and rebooting, and I have the same problem. Works great in the main part of the building, but not in this particular part.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? I am thinking it may be a wireless card issue but, surely, if it's that it wouldn't pick up a wireless signal at all?
