Dear Forum Members,
I would like to ask for your help. According to the factory specification of the
HP 255 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (8A5G5EA)
device have 2 SODIMM slot. We removed the bottom of such a device, but there is no empty socket. Still not upgradable?
Thank you very much for your help,
Frank

Hi, Frank:
The 255 G10's that come with the AMD 7520U have memory that is an integral part of the motherboard and is not upgradable.
See chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information:
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Models with 7520U, 7320U processors
Onboard memory supporting up to 16 GB of RAM (not accessible or upgradeable)
Models with 7730U, 7530U, 7330U processors
Two SODIMM slots supporting up to 16 GB of RAM

Dear Paul,
Thank you very much for your response and help. But. In this case, HP's information is misleading. Based on the serial number (if necessary, I can send it to your email address) I checked the technical details and technical data. There it is clearly written: p, rocessor family: AMD Ryzen™ 5 processor (no exceptions), Memory 8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (onboard) Transfer rates up to 3200 MT/s. Memory Slots 2 SODIMM (no exceptions). In this case, how does the user know what you wrote?

You're very welcome, Frank.
I checked the notebook's product number you posted and the information I provided matches the parts list for the product number.
If you enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link I posted, I am sure you will get the same information.
Since this is a peer-to-peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP, there wouldn't be anything I can do to help you with any advertising/specifications discrepancies.
You would have to take that up with HP by contacting HP customer service starting at the link below.
