HP 255 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello to all...

I have a specific question.

I would like to replace a current MB (AMD E1-2100 1.0 Ghz) on my HP 255 G3 (MB code 761531-001) with the best from the series - A8-6410 (MB Code 763999-001 or 763999-501).

Would it be possible?

Dimensions are the same, along with LCD screen display resolution and slots setup, other should be detected by the OS install/upgrade.

Also I found that the same shell/basis was used on HP 15-G and there are a lot of manuals with cross.relation on the web which connect  these 2 series so I am interested can I maybe use the MB from 15-G model like 764269-501 which seems almost identical by dimensions etc (wifi, bt not sure but I hope they are inter replacable from board to board).

HP 15-G MBs difference to the HP 255 G3 is priimarily for the GPU (not UMA but Radeo 8570M with dedicated, not shared  memory) and seems like an even better choice if replacement is possible.

Please help, current laptop is a daily usage kids laptop and a MB seems like amore reasonable choice than buying a new one (as this is still running) which can be used to run some games.

Thanks a lot in advance
