Hello

My System:

HP 255 G7 SP 2D200EA 15,6" FHD, Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, DVD

I want to swap my M2 SSD storage for more speed

what storage do i need?

Unfortunately, my first choice was not compatible or was not recognized

No, you won't get more speed, you can get more space. Machine has M.2 SSD now, HP uses SSD from few different vendors therefore it is much better to use same vendor of the existing drive. Device Manager will tell you its manufacture and series of M.2 SSD.
