HP 255 G7 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have a laptop:

HP 255 G7

Product number: 9TV57ES#ABD

and wants to increase the RAM from 4GB to 8GB.

On the website: https://www.crucial.de/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-255-g7-(amd-a9--a6--a4--e2-processors)

some modules are listed.

Which 8GB memory fits in the laptop:

HP 255 G7

Product number: 9TV57ES#ABD

Kind regards

Thomas

Hi:

Notebooks with the AMD A4-9125 processor have one memory slot and the max memory the slot can support is 1 x 8 GB.

The link you posted didn't work for me.

This would be the compatible 8 GB memory chip you can replace the 4 GB memory chip with.

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

There is also this service video which has all of the component removal and replacement procedures.

Hello Paul_Tikkanen,

thank you for the quick help.

Can I also with:

HP 255 G7

Product number: 9TV57ES#ABD

SSD 128GB

upgrade the SSD?

I would like to upgrade to 256GB. Which SSD is suitable for an upgrade? And which manufacturer?

Please excuse the incorrect internet links.

The German internet links do not work.

The American internet liks work well.

Kind regards

Thomas

You're very welcome, Thomas.

Here is the link to the Crucial memory on the Crucial, Germany website...

You can upgrade the M.2 SATA SSD with another M.2 SATA SSD having a greater storage capacity.

NVMe SSD's are not supported in the 255 G7's with the AMD 'A' series processors.

I recommend this SATA model M.2 SSD which has the fastest advertised sequential read/write speeds that I know of.

This is the 500 GB model.  I doesn't cost that much more than the 250 GB model, so you may want to consider that one as well.
