Hello. I've got HP 255 G7 Ryzen 5 3500U with 1Tb HDD and would like to add NVMe SDD using free M2 port.
Does it really work with reduced PCIe and lower speed? Or I will have full speed PCIe 3.0 x 4?

No, all machines won't run at the designed (or full) speed of storage controllers.
Regards.
