Hi,

 

I would like to know if my laptop can be updated to ssd sata-3, if so I would like to know what ssd is the best option for my laptop

I found this page https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06194380#AbT5 but it is showing many variants, so I'm not sure what is the correct specification for my laptop

Hi:

 

For certain you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

What model processor does your notebook have?

 

If it has a Ryzen processor, it has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.

 

Probably the notebooks with the AMD Athlon 3020e processor M.2 slot also support NVMe SSD's.

 

The notebooks with the AMD 'A' Series processors have a M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
