HP 255 G7 Notebook PC

HP255 G7, last bios, trying Win10x64 and 11x64, situation is same. If is AC adapter connected to NTB and if is OFF, charging is ok. If is NTB on, windows running, battery isnt charged. No icon with plugged AC in, only battery icon.

i try everything what i found on web, nothing work. Drivers, utilities... nothing help.

according to the owner, the laptop is at most 3 years old... there is not much reason for something to collapse. The battery still has good capacity.

and second thing... in thir ntb, pci-e nvme disk. Utility crystal disk info say :  supported speed disk : 3.0 - version PCI-e / 4x - lines, actual : 1.0 / 2x

Wt ??? brutal speed downgrade... but why ?

Your battery issue of not charging in Windows

Invoke the Device Manager and uninstall the Microsoft AC Adapter and the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery. It is safe to do this

Afterwards, click on the action tab in Device Mananager and click on 'scan for hardware changes".

The operating system will install fresh copies of the devices.

Restart the laptop and check to see if it is now charging inside the OS.

You will need to do the same with both operating systems.

Let us know if you have success.
