Yes DDR4-2666 MHz memory will work fine, since that is the fastest speed your PC's processor can run the memory at.

They have compatible DDR4-3200 MHz memory for sale.

 

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp business desktops | HP 290 G4 Microtower | Crucial.com

 

DDR4-3200 MHz memory will run at 2666 MHz since that is all that your PC's processor can run the memory at.
