HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Envy x360. Great laptop while it works.  It is for the 2nd or 3rd time now having the same issue.  It is now out of warranty. The screen is separating and the hinges are getting  damaged.  I would think after having sent this for repair 1 or 2 times before it would be fixed while it was under warranty. This was not a cheap laptop. I spent some good money on it because I wanted what should be a quality computer. I am seeing online this appears to be a common issue for people who have this type of computer.  Can anyone tell me what they did to get this resolved?  Does HP cover this past the manufacturer warranty or even extended warranty?  It is ridiculous the fact that I even have this problem again.  It has never been dropped. Glass is not broken. Touchscreen still works fine. But if I close the lid it is obvious something is wrong with the hinges as the lid closes with a slight angle. It makes some noices opening/closing. So I am leaving it open and the lid stationary as I don't want to make it worse until I get it repaired. What did you do?  Were you able to get HP to do a mercy repair as this should not be happening? Especially after it has already been fixed before.
