Hello, I own a Probook 450 G5 intel I5 and would like to upgrade / add a M2 2280 ssd in the free slot, bat the dubt i have is: about the bus, IS IT PCIE or SATA ? 

 

Reading the specification sheet to me is not clear if SATA or PCIE in the M.2 slot....

 

Anybody can confirm to me?

Hi,

I guess one could add a few words. Basically the manual means that both types SATA3 and PCIe will run in the PC. You can also use a larger capacity drives 1TB 2TB... , the manual will only mention the drives the PC could have come with.

So, yes both will work.

Many Thanks for the reply, the manual says:

 

Primary M.2 storage M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF)

● 512 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC (not available with Celeron)

● 256 GB, PCIe, NVMe, value (not available with Celeron)

● 128 GB, SATA, TLC

 

but I do not uderstand, because seems both PCIE and SATA are supported, to me it seems strange.... but maybe I'm wrong, sorry but still not clear.

 

Maybe I can use a sata 128 gb  m.2 ssd or 256/512 gb m.2 pcie?
