HP 630

Hi Everyone

First time on any forum and I need you help. Rescued HP 620 from friends basement, he wanted trough it away, but typical computer hoarder that  I am, I took it in. When I switch it on, the boot screen is full green and blue ink stains which tells me that its screen issue.  I tried to plugin external monitor but didn't want to switch to external monitor mode.

What can be the cause of this and is there away to fix it?

Looking forward to your replies

Sorry no one replied, but that is probably because we here have no way of diagnosing or fixing this screen issue.

My guess, from having seen similar pictures, is that some liquid got into the display and damaged it -- and that would require replacement of the screen, which is not a simple or inexpensive thing to do.

Your best bet is to take this to a local laptop repair facility and get an estimate on them replacing the screen - but be advised, the total for that could easily exceed the cost of simply replacing the laptop.
