Where I can find detailed description of HP 650 G1 motherboard, I found an interesting port on the bottom of laptop, it looks like for ssd or sth like that... I wanna know what that is.

Question no.2, can I use m.2 nvme ssd or only m.2 sata, because the m.2 port is not the m.2 sata shaped.

Hi, Andrew:

 

According to chapter 1 of the service manual the slot you are looking at appears to be for a mSATA solid-state drive.

 

Look at chapter 5, pages 71 & 72.

 

Does that look like the drive that would fit there?

 

Your screenshot does not show enough of the surrounding area.

 

Just because the slot only has one key, that doesn't mean it will support a NVMe SSD and M.2 NVMe SSD's are not supported in your notebook anyhow.

 

You would install a card that of a type that looks like this:
