I have big issues with my new HP computer. We purchased an EliteBook 655 G10 with the Ryzen 7730U and the USB-C Dock G5. Overall I’m very disappointed by the notebook, especially the trackpad is worse, I had MacBooks before but they are not compatible for business work.
But coming to the issues. We have connected two 4K monitors via display ports on the dock and the dock is connected via USB-C. I know that this device does not support TB. We have activated DP-Alt Mode and the displays are working with 60Hz.
Unfortunately the computer freezes very often, basically every 10 to 15 minutes. Sometimes reconnecting helps, sometimes it’s getting even worse and there is no picture at all after this.
I have updates all kind of drivers, so at least this should not be a problem.
Any ideas where this is coming from or is this setup just garbage? In terms of power the notebook is fine as we are only doing standard office work, no graphic demanding things.
