I*ve bought a refurbished motherboard from a store in Germany for approx. 115 EUR and it runs fine 🙂
So keep away from getcomputerparts in China.
I made bad experiences in bying a motherboard from them which they called "brand new"! If it is reaIly new it seems to be scrap from HP which they sorted out as unreliable.
In a period from september up to the beginning of december they sent 2 motherboards, both were bad.
Now again I will try to give it back to them, but it seems to be very difficult, they didn`t answer.

again my HP is dead..a few days ago the motherboard I have bought from the store in Germany died. Same error...5 times blinking.
I remember a chat where a support technician mentioned that the fan and heatsink has to be renewed, too.
Is it correct? And why do I have to exchange it?

I am not sure if the heatsink needs to be renewed, but just clean it out, blow it out, and use the thermal paste that comes with the motherboard to ensure that it doesn't overheat. I also read that some people put a penny between the heat sink and the graphics chip as an extra measure against overheating. The technician who put my motherboard in didn't think that the penny idea was necessary, though, and he said that there was too much thermal paste on my processor and graphics chip. He said that in my case too much thermal paste was used and it was all over the place.
So far, the motherboard replacement I got from GetComputerParts.com out of China seems to be working for me.
I am not sure if it will get extra hot in the summer, though, and make it malfunction then, since I do not use air conditioning all of the time where I use the computer.

Hi,
I used Arctic Silver as thermal compound, as I everytimes do in such a case. And only a little bit, very good and carefully spreaded over the heatsink`s plate. So I don`t think this is the fault.
Fan and heatsink were cleaned and fan is running very smooth and stable.
Okay, so I can forget the hint to exchange the heatsink.
Anyway, thx for your comments to this. I wonder why two of these motherboards came as defected from Getcomputerparts, and the one from the German store died after a month ...

@henniware
the issue with 6735b computer motherboard and the "general fault"...have you bought a new motherboard or do you have solved this problem by repairing the motherboard e.g. voltage converters?

I got a new motherboard installed from GetComputerParts.com out of China. It worked for me. I had a local technician install it at a computer store because I was a little concerned about losing one of the many screws or breaking plastic on the laptop. But, I know of people doing it themselves. It takes a lot of patience, I understand, and some skill to do it successfully.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem. In my case I solved using a new, original HP power supply.
The problem with this laptop is that using universal power supplies (probably do not like tension) will show the error of the 5 LEDsflashing block caps. This specific power control has the center pin. If you use a universal power supply
measured voltage and the power supply is different from the notebook is not accepted. It seems strange but true. So before you change the motherboard try replacing the power supply with an original and see if you solve the problem, it worked for me. I hope I was helpful.
