Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

For some reason I can not connect my portable SSD T5 Samsung device true the USB-C port on my laptop.
I updated all the drivers, if I just connect True USB everything is fine only the USB-C port doesn't work on my laptop.
Maybe I am doing something wrong or maybe I need another driver.

thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am having the same issue with my HP 840 G5. Works with USB-A cable but not with the USB-C.

I have checked with another USB-C cable and another device. My other USB-C disk (WAVLINK USB 3.1 M.2 SSD Enclosure) connects and shows up inWindows.

I have researched a fair bit and I think I got it: The USB-C port on the 840 G5 seems to be only Thunderbolt. That seems to be the reason. My other device also supports Thunderbolt. The T5 does not seem to have Thunderbolt support.

So we are stuck on USB 3.1 Gen 1 over the USB-A connector.

Regards
