Current equipment:
HP 8470p ELitebook, i5-3320M / only Intel HD4000
screen: 1366x768

question:
Is it possible to convert the LCD screen to a screen from an 8570p laptop with 1920x1080 resolution?
15.6-inch diagonal LED-backlit FHD WVA anti-glare (1920 x 1080)

I am only interested in the physical possibility of connecting the 8570p screen to the 8470p motherboard. (eDP port).

Hi,

I believe it is not possible as none of the models in that series came with an FHD screen, so you will not have the correct cable and the eDP port will not support the FHD display.

In a series where there are models with FHD and models with HD, you can usually just replace the cable and all is good.

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you for your response. Exactly, the eDP port may not have FHD support.

It's time to go to the store for new PC.

You're welcome.

I hope HP 😀

I would go with something with an SSD as the boot drive or one where you can add it later yourself.

Let me know if you need any further help.

All the best,

David

The only problem is to buy a laptop that will be better than the current one. Money? 400-500 € max.

Requirements?
The processor better than i5-3320M
RAM memory with the possibility of expanding to a minimum of 16GB & only DDR4
Support for M.2 disks with nVME (first disk with operating system)
Built-in DVD recorder (DVDRW for demounting, and mounting multibay pockets and a third HDD (2TB))
2.5" slot for second disk SSD (second ProgramFiles folder & swap & temp & cache for soft...)
IPS 1920x1080 screen with very good PPI (I work with text (MS Office), I'm already hurting my eyes 🙂 at resolution 1366x768 with 112PPI
Illuminated keyboard (full, numeric keyboard)

The computer must have drivers for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 / I do not intend to use a spy Windows 10 / I prefer Ubuntu-Mint ...

How to do it in Poland = I do not know!
Yesterday, the laptop in the store cost 1599PLN (400 €) and today costs in the weekend promotion 1999PLN (500 €) 🙂
My country is sick!

Here in Poland you can not buy a laptop for good money. If you have less than 500 €, do not even leave the house. Equipment offered for less than 600-700 € is an old scrap! Screens TN 1366x768, maximum 8GB RAM, often 4GB is soldered permanently without the possibility of expansion; 90% of computers do not have M.2; scrap, scrap, scrap ..
