Does anyone know how to determine the maximum capacity & speed for RAM and Storage for the following

HP Envy x360

Model: 15m-cn0012dx

Mobo: HP 8483 , Version : 70.31

Current Setup Of Relevance

Intel Core i7-8550U CPU @ 1.8 GHz, 1992 MHz, 4 cores

12GB Physical Ram (8+4, 2 slots)

256 SSD M.2

NO HDD Installed

I want to upgrade the SSD, but don’t know the limits to either speed/type or storage. I’d like to install 1TB SSD in the place the current 256GB is in (M.2) but don’t know what the upper limit would be based on the Mobo or CPU capabilities

i am also interested in upgrading the RAM. Performing the following commands below yielded a 32GB of DDR4 size limit, but I’m not sure what speeds the RAM upgrade can be.

  1. Press the Windows + R key to open Run.
  2. Type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run Command Prompt as an administrator.
  3. Type wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices and press Enter.

In summary, can anyone speak to the SSD M.2 size/data transfer limits and the DDR4 RAM speed limits that the current Mobo&setup can handle?

Thank you in advance.

It specs

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06017672

It is similar to one of my machines

1. RAM: It supports 2x16GB (max) using  compatible RAM such as  https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct12540910   You can use 2666MHz or 3200MHz RAM but it would run at 2400MHz

You can also just upgrade to 16GB by replacing its 4GB with a SAME existing 8GB RAM stick.

2. STORAGE: It has 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD now you can

  1. Upgrade it to 1TB or 2TB using compatible M.2 NVMe SSD  such as  https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-ssd-2tb-mz-v7s2t0bw/
  2. Add 1TB or 2TB of 2.5" SATA-3 HDD or SSD but you would need more parts  (1) The hard drive cable is available using spare part number L21894-001 and  (2)The hard drive rubber sleeve is available using spare part number L20103-001.
  3. Do BOTH a & b

Regards.
