Today, I unplugged my laptop like I usually do when I go to use it and play a video game. Usually the battery lasts at least 30 minutes before it tells me it's running low, this go round, it lasted at most 10 minutes, maybe 12 minutes before it told me battery low and then locked and shut down my laptop at 11%. I plug it back up and turn it on and I'm greeted with this message;
"BIOS has detected that the capacity of the internal battery has been reduced. This may be cause by environmental factors such as low ambient operating temperature, or it could be due to the aging of the battery pack. Operating your system in a warmer location or operating your unit for a while might resolve this condition. If the condition persists or if you have an older system, please contact HP service.

I was only able to read up to "Operating your system in a warmer location..." before it turned to my lock screen. I've had this laptop, according to my settings, since 2019. But I'm pretty sure it was 2020 or 2021, so it's not like it's brand new. I'm just at a lost of what to do with this because I am a college student and need my laptop.
I've had it plugged in since 5:20 PM (EST) and it's currently 7:25 PM (EST), it seems to be stuck at 54%. I checked it after dinner at 7:18 and it said it was at 54%, while charging, I would assume with more than 5 minutes going by, it should've gone up in percentage.
