Hi all. I have a Hp pavilion notebook (Hp pavilion x360 convertible 13s-101tu), which I purchased on March 2016 and currently under extended warranty service. Recently, my notebook's battery has stopped working. I can power on my notebbok only when I connect it to charger. Also, my notebook contains display message like " No battery detected". So, I have tried to run the HP Battery Program Validation Utility (2018) available at https://batteryprogram687.ext.hp.com/.

But the utility also unable to detect battery in my notebook. So, is there any other way to check whether my notebook's battery is eligible for free replacement? Kindly help

Batteries in notebooks are only under waranty for one year, unless you purchased a care package to extend the warranty.

 

 

It is unfortunate that your battery has failed.

 

You will need to have it replaced, but it will not be a free replacement without a vaild warranty package.

Thanks for the reply Erico. Recently I have replaced my battery. It's really sad that I need to replace my battery within 2 years. Hope the new one will run for a longer period.!!

HELP,

I purchased the HP Envy x360 Convertible laptop from Costco last year and have always had an issue with the battery.

The laptop has never held a charge without the power cord. 

I ran the HP Battery Program Validation Utility, Result: unable to detect battery

 

This is an internal battery with no access from the bottom of the computer.

Who can fix this and how much will it cost to repair?
