Product: HP Chromebook 11A G8 Education Edition

My school purchased hundreds of these Chromebooks.  As of November, they are out of warranty.  The problem with usual usage is that the hinge comes off, and then the Chromebook separates.  Can we fix this now that my devices are no longer under warranty?  The plastic cover to the hinge has little plastic teeth.
