Chrome OS

My Hp chromebook x2 is not recognizing the attached keyboard. I tried powerwash for my device, still it's the same. Couldn't find support for this product anywhere or any place to buy a new replacement. Please et me know if anyone has an answer to this.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  1. Sign out of your Chromebook.
  2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
  3. Select Restart.
  4. In the box that appears, select Powerwash. Continue.
  5. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. ...
  6. Once you've reset your Chromebook

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for the response. But since my product is not under warranty, this is the only place where I can get support according to the link you have provided.

Have you tried with different keyboard?

It has a proprietary  keyboard attachment, which I have only one. I have not found another keyboard anywhere online also.

If its a hardware related issue with the keyboard it cannot be fixed over the phone or in this community.

Keep me posted.
