Operating System: Chrome OS

My laptop has L36884-001 motherboard with Intel Core i3-8130U processor, can I replace it with L36885-001 (Intel Core i5-8250U processor)? The manual says that this laptop can have both motherboards.

Yes you could but you might find it cheaper just to find a used Chromebook with the i5 processor.
