Pavilion DV7 1100 series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I updated my Pavilion DV7 laptop OS from Vista (Factory installed) to Win 7 Home Pofessional. The fingerprint reader stopped working. So I went to the HP support site and followed their recommended fix which was to download and instal the fingerprint reader driver then HP Simplepass. I successfully did this and launched simplepass. I entered the windows master password  (same as my win 7 password) Ten I launched the "Set up windows log on from within the app. I keep getting the following error message "The windows logon password you entered does not match. Please try again. I have been very carefull to ensure I typed the correct password at each stage. Does anyone have an idea on a fix for this. Cheers Lindsay
