Common problems for Battery

I uninstalled the driver. Did another device scan and it didn't prompt me to install anything. This morning it now wants me to install 6.0.21.1 again. I have it downloaded so if I remember, I will restart with driver signing disabled and see if the stupid thing will install.

That's a lot of hassle to work around what should be a recompile and re-release with a digital signature and way beyond what the vast majority of users can deal with.

This sucks some major balls.

After manually updated the driver windows update continue to install the update **bleep**?

Windows 10 added a lot of support for sensors including accelerometers (used to measure velocity).  I suspect that is more likely the cause of the problem.

I also have the same problem occuring since September 6th.

There are a real lot of people now reporting this error on different threads.   I just spent nearly 3 hours with HP support on this and got nowhere.  Installed a bunch of Softpaqs etc..   They have raised it to level 2....

HP are to paying attention?

Please everyone, look at the earlier threads for the solution. It is not very difficult to implement. If I can do it not being a tecky then anyone can do it. Download the driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog:

catalog.update.microsoft.com

Search HP 6.0.21.1 to find the driver. Then follow the instructions on page 3 of this topic by

Im waiting for Microsoft to fix this issue. I don't want an issue driver.

The original driver 6.0.19.1 is also unsigned. The new driver is fine. Simply unsigned. It's your choice. But I just didn't want Update to keep trying to install it over and over It tried 17 times before I fixed it.

Any news about Microsoft is fixing it? Its 3 days now.

Not Microsoft's problem to fix. HP needs to deliver a signed driver to Microsoft. This issue multiplies by the number of HP machines upgrading to Windows 10 version 1703 which is an ever growing number.
