Cannot get number lock to work after logging in.  Num Lock works fine before login

The error Code says:

 

Keyboard Keypress Failure

 

So apparently the key is not working during diagnostic testing. If under warranty I believe HP will replace the keyboard based on that error code.

Thanks.  You're the second person to say that,  I wonder if the diagnostic test is correct on this because after restoring the system back a couple of days, the num lock key/function is working perfectly? 

 

However, I will watch this like a hawk and take advantage of the warrenty if the trouble occurs again.

Unlike other diagnostic tests the keyboard test has a human element that makes it very capable of error.
