HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 inch G3 Notebook PC (4J040AV)

I have a brand new HP Dragonfly G3 notebook. I have problems when I switch between different USB docking stations.

At home I'm using a LG 32UL950-W monitor with "built-in docking station", meaning I connect my USB keyboard and mouse to the monitor, then connect the monitor to one of the USB-C ports on the laptop. This way the external monitor feeds power and the USB peripherals to the laptop, very handy.

At work I have one of those small Belkin USB multiport docking station. I connect dual screens, power and USB peripherals to the dock, and the dock to the laptop, with the same effects as the screen back home. Also quite handy.

Here's the problem. Whenever I've been at work, the laptop won't recognize my screen at home any more. Or rather, the USB peripherals are actually passed through to the laptop and work fine, but the external screen says "no signal" and while the laptop claims it's plugged in to power, it actually runs on battery.

The only way I've managed to fix this is to shut off the laptop, then press the power button for more than 12 seconds and then start the computer again, which usually fixes the problem. This apparently "resets the embedded controller" or "performs a hard reset" or something, depending a bit on who you ask. 🙂

This is as you understand a bit of a hassle. Any tips?
