Hello,
A couple of months back, I had to teardown my laptop to clean it from the dust and when I reached the motherboard I noticed that it has what seems to be an nvme slot. So I was wondering if there's any possibility to upgrade it with a 120gb m.2 or nvme ssd.
The laptop is an HP ENVY 15-k013nl.
Here's a photo of my motherboard (not mine I did not think of taking one) :
Thanks in advance,
-Mark

That is exactly what it is. Supports 2280 form factor SATA M.2. Not NVME. Something like Samsung 860 Evo. See a picture of it in the Manual at page 79. Notice it also shows what looks like maybe a WWAN card going over the M.2 at right angles but your board (at least the picture you took) does not include that feature.
