LIke others , my ENVY 17T AE100 has hinge issues. The hinge is way too tight . And so the plastic anchors for the hinge screws have snapped off the motherboard on 4 of the 7 screws for the right side hinge.
Is there a repair solution ?
What is the hinge part number , maybe there is a looser hinge that the remaining screws will be sufficient for.
I've tried super glueing the metal grommets directly on the board and they dont hold.
I've seen videos where they glue the whole hinge to the motherboard which seems fruitless as the stiff hinge will snap the motherboard.
Any solutions?
