ExamHP ENVY dv7-7223cl Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product Number: C2N67UA.      I have a Primary Internal 601 Battery Error message at startup. The System Quick Test shows Primary Battery Very Weak (70). Failure ID: 9LKUR3-68EA1S-QFPK0K-C0EC03 Product ID: C2N67UA#ABA.
Can someone please clarify what battery It is that is failing? At first I thought it the RTC battery but now I am uncertain. It appears the HP Part Store does not carry the needed battery when following the link for battery replacement. In looking at other suppliers I have come across a message “If you have a 601 battery error, contact HP, or replace the internal battery not the rtc cmos battery. I’m confused about which battery needs to be replaced. Are there three batteries? Can someone help me get the right part number of the battery that I need to replace that will clear this error message?

@28Coupe,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting a battery error.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I checked the failure ID you have shared and it looks like the internal battery(not the RTC) is gone bad. I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in ordering a replacement battery.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
