Product: HP ENVY Notebook m7-u109dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When was this product first released? HP ENVY Notebook m7-u109dx....I replaced the battery in 2019 and it now needs a new battery again.  I am evaluating whether or not I should replace the battery or the laptop.  Kinda like replacing the motor in a 1965 rambler.....

Hi:

 

I doubt anyone can tell you that with pinpoint accuracy.

 

Based on the specs, probably around late 2015-2016.

 

You can tell the exact year and week your notebook was made by looking at the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of the serial number.

 

The 4th will be the year of manufacture (0 - 9)

 

The 5th and 6th will be the week of manufacture (01 - 52).

 

For example, if the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of your notebook's serial number are 623, your notebook was made in 2016 during the 23rd week of the year (June 6th - June 12th).
